Spring wardrobe refresh
And how to finally have something to wear. Right now you have a great opportunity to prepare your wardrobe for spring and let yourself have a new fresh energy. 🌼
Step 1
But first things first. Before you start sorting, I recommend setting aside enough time for it, buy your favorite wine or chocolate and turn on your favorite playlist. Then look through your closet and ask yourself a few questions that you can honestly answer:
- What does my current wardrobe look like and how would I like it to look?
- What does my normal day look like and does the composition of my wardrobe correspond to it?
- What do I like to wear and what do I not?
- Who inspires you and what style of dressing do you like?
These are questions that will help you think about yourself and your style. Thanks to them, sorting your wardrobe will be much easier, so let’s get started! 😊
Step 2
I recommend taking everything out and sorting it into categories. That is, t-shirts with t-shirts, jeans with jeans, sweaters with sweaters, etc. As soon as your piles are formed, you will have a beautiful view of what you may be buying too much and what you are missing.
Then go through everything and by the method – yes / no / I need to try – sort everything and try it
Once you’re done and see the final number of pieces, it will give you a good idea of what you should buy and at the same time, you may be able to organize your clothes in a completely different and better way.
Well, what should you definitely not keep in your wardrobe? ❌
Clothes that bite, scratch, make you sweat, and generally don’t fit.
Clothes that are already heavily worn (frayed collars, unwashable stains, faded colors).
Clothes that stress you out because you can’t seem to lose weight in them.
Which clothes should you keep in your wardrobe? ✅
Clothes in which you feel pleasant, comfortable and which fit you perfectly.
Clothes that are in good condition and match your style.
Clothing that has sentimental value to you and you have an attachment to it. But if you don’t wear it, place it in a box, for example on top of the wardrobe, so that it doesn’t take up space in the most used part.
What do you get?
The result will be a perfectly organized wardrobe that will bring you more peace, time and joy.
I wish you not only a successful sorting, but also a start to the new season, which I personally like very much. And if the very idea of cleaning is already scary for you, write to me, I’ll be happy to help you with your wardrobe. Both as part of a consultation or a complex organization.
